User Authentication
ActivID ActivClient - is client middleware that bridges communication between smart cards, the operating system, and enterprise applications. By providing all essential runtime libraries—including a fully compliant PKCS#11 library—it enables full card functionality, such as secure workstation logon, email encryption, and digital document signing. Additionally, ActivClient offers a local user interface for secure user interaction with the card and its credentials, fully controlled through administrator-defined policies.
ActivID Credential Management System - is a centralized platform for managing smart cards and digital user credentials. Implementing the system streamlines and standardizes credential lifecycle processes—from issuance and updates to revocation and retirement. ActivID CMS also offers proven emergency procedures for scenarios such as PIN unlocks, as well as issuing temporary or replacement cards in the event of lost, forgotten, or damaged credentials. By automating management and support, the system significantly cuts operational time and costs. Furthermore, ActivID CMS integrates seamlessly with physical access control systems (PACS) and smart card printers, enabling organizations to easily roll out multi-purpose employee badges that combine physical building access with logical IT access.
